I started training Jiu Jitsu at Ethos about a year ago, and it has honestly been life-changing. Since joining, I’ve lost 50 pounds and unlocked a whole new level of confidence, both on and off the mats. The coaches at Ethos are truly world-class. Their attention to detail, patience, and ability to teach at every level make a huge difference, especially if you’re newer to Jiu Jitsu. They care about your progress and safety, and it shows in every class. On top of that, the environment is incredible. From day one, everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and supportive. There’s no ego, just people helping each other get better. If you’re even remotely interested in Jiu Jitsu, I can’t recommend Ethos enough. This gym will challenge you, support you, and help you become a stronger version of yourself.
Ethos Jiu Jitsu hands down is one of the best Jiu Jitsu Gyms in the area. The coaches here have cultivated a great environment that is encouraging, extremely helpful, and fun. Can’t emphasize enough how personal these coaches are, they truly care about the growth of their students on and off the mats. Everyone that trains at Ethos has been very welcoming and great training partners to myself personally. Ethos Jiu Jitsu has Great Coaches, Great People, And Great Vibes, see for yourself.
I have been practicing jiu jitsu for about three years now. Ethos is the second BJJ club of which I have been a member. I was directed to Ethos because of the family environment and the ETHOS of the club. A 501C3 affiliate gym with a mission to never let finances stop a kid from learning jiu jitsu. You would be hard pressed to find a gym with the caliber of coaches who perform at the highest international competitive levels and will also take the extra time to help you find your jiu jitsu game. For me, and so many others, Ethos is home and that is thanks to the amazing coaching staff and environment created within those walls. I am proud to call Ethos home.
Absolutely love this jiu-jitsu gym! I'm 6'02" 200+lbs and I'll never forget my first day. One of the coaches, Rodnei Barbosa (a black belt who competes at Roosterweight-127lbs), submitted me about seven times in five minutes without breaking a sweat! At that moment, I knew I had to learn this stuff! The atmosphere friendly and competitive. Everyone is super chill and genuinely wants to see you improve, while still pushing you to be your best on the mats. The coaches are knowledgeable and clearly care about both technique and safety. The gym itself is always spotless, which says a lot about how professionally it’s run, and the schedule is organized and reliable. On top of all that, the pricing is very affordable. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced grappler, I really recommend this gym! 🥋💪
at my age (77) I have attended many gyms, studios and various types of extra curricular activities and I can honestly say that i have never learned more or felt better about my time than learning at ETHOS. i stepped on mat on first day knowing absolutely nothing about Jiu Jitsu and knowing no one there, i left first day smiling that i felt great, everyone was beyond gracious, helpful and made me know i wanted to come back the next day. i really can say that i have never finished a class that i didn’t learn something new or ever drove away not feeling better than when i arrived. I would without hesitation recommend (and i have many times) Ethos Jiu-Jitsu. great training academy, great instructors and a super group of students = a very positive experience.
Prior to enrolling here, my only experience with grappling involved wrestling my toddler-aged children into bed. I mean, if they gave belts for the ability to diaper a toddler while he's sprinting away, I'd at least have be at a brown—my carpets have the stains to prove it, too. Unfortunately, those skills do not translate to Jiu-Jitsu. This means, of course, that I had (and have) a lot to learn. As fate would have it, Ethos JJ is a great place for folks who are in my position. The instructors here are patient and thoughtful. They provide thorough instructions and have always answered my questions comprehensively. The advanced belts are welcoming and encouraging while also being willing to pause sparring and answer questions or suggest alternative techniques. In total, the people really make this place special. It's kind of like with my kids: You put up with a lot of frustrating stuff because of the connection you feel to them. In Jiu-J
