I have had the privilege to train with Sensei Rudy and his students at Ultimate Martial Arts for over 10 years! Sensei Rudy runs a fantastic dojo that is geared towards everyone from the beginner looking to get in shape, to the seasoned professional martial artist who is looking to challenge themselves. The environment is very welcoming! I was completely blown away by the classes that were taught by Sensei Rudy and his staff. The classes were organized, really fun, HIGH energy, and very interactive. I watched the staff teach, correct, and give a ton of attention to each student in the group classes. Sensei Rudy has the unique gift of bringing out the best in his students and it's quite obvious that he really enjoys spending time on the mat teaching. If you are in the area I highly recommend trying a class!
As a young woman wanting to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I was nervous starting out, but Ultimate Martial Arts definitely put that nervousness at ease. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with no ego and classes that go at a good pace for beginners. Everyone there, from the instructors to the other students, is always encouraging and supportive. I’ve made friends and love seeing my teammates every week. If you’re looking for a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I highly recommend Ultimate Martial Arts in Fresno
I cannot say enough good things about Ultimate Martial Arts! The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is absolutely fantastic. It's a true family gym, and the sense of community here is incredible. The instruction is top-notch, with instructors who are not only skilled but also great at teaching. The classes are well-paced, making them easy to adapt to whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced. I highly recommend Ultimate Martial Arts to anyone looking for a welcoming environment to learn and grow in their martial arts journey!
I have been training in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at Ultimate Martial Arts for two years now, and it has been an incredible journey. I have competed in several tournaments, achieved some wins, and grown tremendously in the sport. The training environment is fantastic, and my teammates have become like family to me. I genuinely look forward to training every week, knowing that I am surrounded by such supportive and dedicated individuals. I am grateful to be on this journey with my teammates and excited to see where it takes us!
We have been a Fresno UMA family now for at least 7 years. I have watched my child grow from a scarred timid white belt hiding under Sensei's chairs in the seating area to a black belt in training on the verge of mastering the in-depth lesson plans for promotion. I have watched many of the students grow into excellent staff/employees for Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy. I have watched my son grow great bonds with his instructors and respect for his Sensei and Marital Arts in general. I have had the pleasure of building strong mutually respective relationships with my fellow Adult Kickboxing peers which I cherish greatly. I literally have watch the building grow into a larger school to accommodate all who wish to join when Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy renovated and merged the adjacent build to increase student capacity. My daughter has been a student at Fresno Ultimate Martial arts for almost 2 years now, and it has been absolutely incredible! All of the staff are incredible, skilled, and so very patient in working with the students. They stress discipline and hard work, as well as respect in every aspect of the students’ lives. I have been a teacher of music for well over a decade now, and I have never met a group of instructors on any level, or in any area of study/education, more dedicated and passionate about what they do. The way in which Sensei Rudy is able to reach these students is amazing, and I can safely say that I have never seen anyone as patient and caring as an instructor as Miss Stephanie (who goes above and beyond in every single class with her students)! Thank you Wendy, Rudy, Stephanie, D’Angelo, Isaiah, Elijah and all the rest of the staff at Fresno Ultimate Martial Arts! We appreciate absolutely everything you do for your students
