This place is fantastic! Stop hesitating and come in to train already! Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Elk Grove will make you feel at home - regardless of age, sex, or ability, there is a place waiting for you here. The hardest part is taking that first step through the door and you will be very glad that you did so - you can thank me later. 👊🏼😎 The main instructors, Jason, Bernard, and Hailey, are extremely passionate, patient, welcoming, and knowledgeable about what they do. The facility, its amenities, and its mats are excellent. This is a nice center to train at. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The facility is fairly large. The mats appear to be cleaned at least once daily when the facility is open. This training center is family-friendly, in my experience. The Gracie training system itself is a big plus because it is systematic and objective. There are specific numbered classes that teach specific techniques. These classes are consistent across the associated Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training centers in other locations. There are specific classes and a specific time period that is required to test for a belt. You can keep track of what classes you've taken and what classes you need to take to qualify for testing. Advancement to a higher-level belt is not based only on a subjective judgment from the instructor that you are ready. I visited the Gracie Jiu Jitsu training center today with my family and had a great experience. The instruction provided by Jason and Bernard was top-notch. They were knowledgeable, patient, and provided clear guidance throughout the session. The training center itself was impressive, with a beautiful facility that was clean and well-maintained. The environment was friendly and safe, creating a positive learning atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu for anyone looking to learn and train in a professional and welcoming setting.
Gracie Jiu-Jistu Elk Grove is a five star facility from top to bottom. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient and thorough. They stress safety by going slow and steady through a structured curriculum. Personally, it’s allowed me to go at my own pace and solidify the techniques they are teaching. I also appreciate that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Elk Grove focuses on the self defense aspect of the martial art. Through their curriculum, it’s not only building a foundation for self defense, but it’s also giving me the confidence to react in a situation if one should arise. Gracie offers programs for adults, women, children and law enforcement. The facility is immaculate. The space is bright and airy. The training mat is expansive and clean. I was really nervous taking this class it was definitely out of my comfort zone. I took their woman empowerment self defense seminar. Hailey, Bernard, Jason, Lisa and there instructors offered a lot of techniques in this class. Anyone can take this class they welcome you and make you feel comfortable and it opened up my eyes. Met new people and they were great and heard a lot of stories. Know your worth ladies. You can do it! Thank you to the instructors for teaching us these techniques and I love the ambience of the place. I like what they have to offer looking forward to signing up and being part of Gracie jiu jitsu family. You guys are awesome. 👏🏽
I’m brand new to Jiujitsu, zero prior experience in ANY martial arts field, didn’t know anyone at this facility, however I have been wanting to learn self-defense so I took the leap to check out the facility. I’m so glad I did because not only are the classes engaging and full of fun, the instructors Jason, Bernard, and Hailey are wonderful at what they do (this is evident in the patience and priority given to ensure you understand by answering any questions you may have)…. but I also found a GREAT community of friends here. Gracie Jiujitsu in Elk Grove is such a welcoming and inclusive facility of which I’m proud to be a part of.
