My whole family has grown at BMA, not just as athletes, but as people. For my kids, it’s been a place to build real discipline and stick with it when things get challenging (plus make friends). Their team of staff and student leaders help each student progress individually while growing with your group as well. You don’t just train—you become part of a community where everyone cheers for each other’s progress. When they believe in the student, the student starts to believe, too. For me, it’s been a chance to push myself in ways I didn’t expect. The confidence you gain on the mat carries over into your life, whatever you're doing. And honestly—it’s fun. Why is sore knees and sweating fun? Because even while you’re working hard, you’re learning new skills, overcoming challenges, and taking a break from everything else. Are you ready for the best tag team in the world. Well Bakersfield you have them. I love these two masters of there craft. The time i spent with these two in Glendale was the best time of my life. When i started i was 240. In less then a year i was down to 205. Not only Bakersfield that you have the best instructors but the best workout, self defence, confidence builders in the world. I started from scratch not knowing a lick of self defence. The little time i spent there with the great energy JK offers i came out feeling i was a black belt in one year.. Lol. That being said Bakersfield you are in good hands when it comes down to the JK family and the martial art. Its a very loving family environment great for young adults and there parents if there looking for a great fitness program... I'll always love my JK family... Bakersfield take advantage while you can..
This place is amazing! Master reymoore and Master Adrey are incredible, they are great with the kids! It's family run and you can tell that from day 1! My son has learned so much and changed so much because of what this place offers! My son is more respectful, stronger, smarter, more flexible and could defend himself if needed. I'm going to be honest. I was hesitant to sign my son up because growing up I experienced places that did things to just take my parents money and not really teach anything, I found the total opposite at Beyond Martial Arts. If you get anything from this review it's DONT HESITATE! This place and the Masters proved there are good people out there who deeply care about the sport and passing it on to the next generation. They care about the kids and don't just pass out belts because they make sure they know it before moving on. Thanks Beyond Martial Arts for all that you do!
BMA is a fantastic place all around. Excellent staff and master. Our kids have being going there for 6 months and our experience has nothing but awesome. Our kids had no previous Taekwondo coaching and they have progressed beyond our expectations. Master Reymoore is great with kids and goes above and beyond to make the class fun for kids and even for parents. Ms Jeen is awesome too. Highly recommend this place!!
This studio is amazing. My two children have thrived under the caring instructors. My kids love their classes. As a parent I am thrilled about the focus being more on the student as a whole. In class, in school, and at home students are encouraged to have respect for their parents, teachers, and elders. My kids liked it so much I decided to join as well. As an adult student I learn the discipline as well as self defense, and more. I highly recommend this studio to everyone.
I can't say good enough things about BMA and Master Reymoore. My 9 yo son has been attending now about 6 months. He has grown so much in that little time. Not only is he growing in confidence, he is also getting stronger, more flexible, and faster. I've witnessed so many kids other than my own over the course of 6 months transform from shy and timid to more assertive and confident. Master Reymoore's approach to kids is perfect. He is very demanding but gentle. He has high expectations but provides the perfect balance of fun and laughter. I'm a teacher in high school and I can attest that Master Reymoore could give lessons to adult teachers on how to interact with children. Master Reymoore loves what he does. It's obvious he loves to share his expertise and knowledge. I'm so happy to have heard about BMA.
