Coach Darrell and Third Space Jiu Jitsu are all about community, family and quality coaching. He was my daughter's wrestling coach and I watched him train kids from 3 years old through high school level. He puts his heart into his work and into each person he trains. He is patient, reliable and honest. I am excited to see the progression of the Jiu Jitsu and the people who will be fortunate enough to be trained by him in this new gym.
I can't say enough good things about Third Space Jiu-Jitsu! From the moment you step in, it feels like a true third space—a welcoming escape from the daily grind. The teaching is top-notch—super structured, but also fun, using games and interactive drills so you really build skills fast. Instructors are so friendly and it’s super family-friendly, too. Met Darrell at a car show community event and immediately respected his way of life. Being able to balance his career, training, and family is what led me to want to learn more about his balance of life. Coach Darrell is an amazing coach and instructor. He teaches techniques that benefit seasoned grapplers and provides appropriate beginner friendly modifications. He pays attention to his students and suggests moves that he believes will benefit their game. That type of individualized attention is important, especially for those who like to compete. Coach Darrell is an absolute beast on the mats but he's also a kindhearted man. He is very patient with his students, and loves explaining every detail of his knowledge in wrestling & jiu jitsu. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to train or is interested in training.
