Hey, if you're considering training JiuJitsu, I highly recommend checking out the JiuJitsu Training Institute in La Mirada, California. I've been training there for the past year, and it's truly been one of the best decisions I've made in terms of both my physical and mental health. First off, the training itself is top-notch. The instructors are all experienced and knowledgeable, and they focus heavily on technique and application rather than just brute force. I've noticed a huge difference in my own practice, and I know that I'm putting myself in a strong position for success as a competitor. But it's not just about the technique - the atmosphere here is also incredibly supportive and welcoming. I've made some incredible friends and Training partners who are all going through similar journeys, and there's a sense of community and belonging that you just don't find everywhere else. It's been a great way to stay motivated and focused on
Would highly recommend The JJTI to anyone! Great place to bring your kids especially! He offers a peewee class and also an older kids class for all ages. This allows kids of all ages to interact with other kids their size and age. Adult classes are offered at various times to work around all work schedules. Coaches are absolutely AMAZING and so kind to everyone who walks through the door. Always makes you feel welcomed and a family atmosphere for sure. Definitely helps with confidence, discipline, and bullying prevention to all kids! All around great place to bring the whole family! Come check it out for yourself!
My oldest and youngest both attend. My oldest is involved in more classes since he’s much older (7yrs) and although he is still learning I feel him being in Jiu Jitsu has helped him a lot. He has a hard time expressing himself and feeling intimidated and he is slowly gaining confidence in himself. He has a hard time socializing and all the kids there help each other out even the bigger kids and it feels great seeing that. Sometimes there is days where he has a hard time but Coach Art and Coach Chris allow my son and any other kid to grasp their emotions circle back and try again. And seeing my son still willing to show up to the next class after having a hard class speaks volumes to me. Having my sons somewhere where they feel comfortable allowing them both to grow without feeling ashamed has been the best thing I’ve done for both of my sons.
Anyone who's looking to gain self confidence, take back control of themselves emotionally, take back control of their weight...I promise you that Professor Art is the coach you want to come and talk to. Trust me when I tell you that no matter what is keeping you from making a commitment like this to yourself, you can let that go and know that when you give this a try, you'll be so happy you did. Professor Art and every other student of his I have met have been the most humble, down to earth and compassionate people I have ever been around. If I had to give you 3 foolproof reasons why you need to give The Jui Jitsu Institute a try it would be... 1. You are absolutely going to understand what I said about Coach Art and his students on day 1. 2. You will immediately understand that even though you may know nothing about this yet, after your very first class you will already be able to see a pathway that you are now walking. It's a path tha
Was in town for a few days and heard of this place through a friend. Very happy it was recommended! Professor Art is knowledgeable and explains techniques clearly and keeping a close eye and correcting technique as well as teaching the finer details that make the execution better. It’s clear he has a passion for teaching. Beyond that, a clear mark of a really good school is how the students treat others. Everybody here was very welcoming and helpful. They genuinely wanted me to learn the techniques and helped along the way. Wish I lived in the area so I could attend classes regularly. Highly recommend The Jiu Jitsu Training Institute!
The JJTI is an amazing place to grow mentally and physically. I am a 46 year old man and weigh 345 lbs. I have been attending classes for about 2 months and I see my growth. I am doing things I didn't think I was capable of doing any more. Just the simplicity of not struggling to get up of the ground anymore was a huge win. Coach Art is amazing with all his students. He sees our physical and mental limitations and works with us individually to figure out a way to adjust and execute the growth. Where we see limitations, he sees opportunities to grow and accept ourselves. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. The JJTI is a great place to be no matter how old you are.
