We recently brought our three boys to try classes at SET Martial Arts Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and we have been incredibly impressed. From the moment we walked in, everyone was welcoming, patient, and encouraging. Trying something new with three boys at different ages and personalities can be a lot, but the instructors made each of them feel comfortable and included.<br><br>The classes are structured, positive, and focused not only on technique, but also respect, confidence, discipline, and teamwork. You can tell the coaches genuinely care about the kids and take time to help them learn at their own pace. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and they create a welcoming environment for everyone—whether you’re brand new to BJJ or have experience. The curriculum is clear and structured, which makes learning techniques both effective and fun.<br><br>The atmosphere on the mats is friendly and encouraging, with training partners who really help each other improve. Beginners are welcome. Use the trial class to watch a fundamentals or all-levels session and meet the coach before signing up. No experience or gear needed for your first class at most Glendale gyms.
