Amazing gym! Extremely clean, well-organized, and inviting atmosphere that is welcoming to all levels and backgrounds.<br><br>Overall, this is a one-stop shop for MMA training. You get instruction for Muay Thai/Striking, Wrestling and Judo/Takedowns, NoGi Jiu-Jitsu, and even fun ways to do cardio if MMA isn't your thing.<br><br>The main instructor Mike is EXTREMELY knowledgeable given his striking background combined with a solid jiu-jitsu game.<br><br>I highly recommend this gym as you can learn a complete self-defense system in one place instead of needing several different memberships.
We came in for the free trial classes and before the 2nd one I knew we had to sign the kids and myself up, mike is awesome and great with the kids they have fun and learn valuable information that will help protect them, we look forward to watching our kids grow in his class I know we made the right decision stepping into his building, but dont take my word for it i highly recommend checking it out for yourself and seeing why my kids have been excited for class since we first stepped into the building
Love this gym! I started coming here a couple of months ago, and from day one, the focus has been on building a solid foundation and mastering the fundamentals—striking, takedowns, and defense. I’ve especially enjoyed the no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Each session provides just the right amount of information and instruction to avoid being overwhelming while still helping you develop new skills. Mike’s coaching is phenomenal. Every week, we focus on a specific skill, like takedowns, and then dive into everything related to it, such as defenses. Sparring in each session has been incredibly beneficial for solidifying concepts. If you’re looking for the best MMA gym, give them a call!
Absolutely incredible MMA gym! Coach Mike is outstanding—his knowledge of all levels of MMA is truly impressive, and he’s amazing with kids. He has a unique way of balancing discipline with encouragement, making every session fun yet productive. Coach Mike is particularly gentle and patient with the younger kids, fostering a supportive environment where they learn skills and respect for the sport. My son looks forward to every single training session and is always eager to go back. This gym is a gem for anyone looking to grow in MMA, from beginners to advanced students. Highly recommend!
My son is 12 and has been going to United MMA East Mesa and training with Mike for 3 months now. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and motivates the children without pushing them to the point of burning out. Mike is awesome at laying a great foundation while having fun, and we look forward to watching the gym and ourselves grow together through mutual combat.<br><br>Ty is one of the members that helps with the kids classes as well and is a great bonus for the gym and team. Very patient and kind but also knowledgeable. Always a good day when he walks in.<br><br>Gym is kept very clean at all times, and has bathroom and water amenities. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking build a solid mma foundation.
Ive been training here since 2016 and have trained other places as well but nowhere is as attentive and helpful as United MMA, its personal mma training which you won’t be able to recieve at any other gym. I strongly recommend if your new to the sport or have been training 10 years, no matter your level your striking and grappling will most definitely improve.

Beginners are welcome. Use the trial class to watch a fundamentals or all-levels session and meet the coach before signing up. No experience or gear needed for your first class at most Gilbert gyms.
