He doesn’t just teach Jiu-Jitsu; he builds confidence, discipline, and respect in his students. Professor Lucas and his wife Paula are the most gracious people and this GB school is amazing. My son and daughter have been training here for nearly 2 years. Prof Lucas is the most patient and kind-hearted instructor who truly cares about these kids. He has an effortless way of sharing his knowledge and skills with all age groups. We are so grateful for the school being a positive environment, a place where our kids feel loved by everyone at the gym, all the coaches and staff are amazing, and we've made lifelong friends. My son has received so much encouragement and has thrived in his BJJ skills, that he is now a member of their Competition Team. Our family couldn't be happier with Gracie Barra. Watching our daughters grow here has been one of the best decisions we've made as parents. We moved our kids to Gracie Barra Ocotillo after our experience at another gym left us wanting a more comprehensive Jiu-Jitsu experience. We are absolutely thrilled that we made that decision as we have found this to be an amazing place that, despite it's size, manages to provide a highly tailored experience that helps develop each student in a way that leads to significant growth over a relatively short amount of time. Additionally, our kids are competitors, and we loved that Gracie Barra Ocotillo offered two Gi competition classes a week, plus a No-Gi competition class. The Professor, Lucas Rubbo, and his entire team are simply wonderful and go out of their way to make sure each student feels seen. I cannot recommend Gracie Barra Ocotillo enough.
I’ve trained at a couple local gyms, and GB Ocotillo quickly became my home gym. They train both gi and no gi, which was important to me. They also offer morning and evening classes, which means I pay way less per class than I was paying elsewhere. The community and gym environment is positive and encouraging. I love training here, and the staff and members have become like family to me. I would highly recommend committing to at least a trial class. You will be so glad you did!
Both my sons are training jujitsu here,it’s one of my best decisions to put them in the classes. Professor Lucas and other coaches are super personable, technical and knowledgeable. Beyond that professor Lucas is truly care about every kids. He always make appropriate arrangements for kid’s sparring. My boys get so much encouragement, their confidence, grit,discipline and strength have skyrocketed. They always look forward to the class.<br>And Paula is super supportive, patient and warm- hearted, she explains everything very clearly and always there to support.
