Presa Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu reviews

We can't say enough wonderful things about Presa. We transitioned to Jiu Jitsu after 2 years of tae kwon do, so we weren't really what to expect. From day one, our kids were hooked. Our family has attended the homeschool class for several years, as well as the adult class. Both classes are run with safety as the highest priority. The staff go above and beyond to help the kids learn proper technique, challenge them to grow as individuals, and teach them how to fight fair. Our kids have learned so much from their time at Presa, and we can't thank Aurelio, Stephanie, Adam, Susana, and all the other coaches enough for everything they've done for our family.
I recently took a work trip to Corpus Christi for a few days. Sad that I would miss classes I called multiple local gyms and chose to check Presa out based on the conversation. It was an incredible experience to say the least: top-notch gym! The owner was welcoming and extremely experienced – he offered to let me train as much as needed during my stay. The students were amazing as well – there was at least 4 black belts on the map and they all were open to rolling with me (white belt) and gave lots of pointers. Day one and they made me feel like I was part of their team. When I told them I had a comp in a month, 3 of their students gave me pointers specific to my game for a good amount of time after open-mat. I went back 2 days later and got to work the pointers. Another highlight was the mats were very clean and all the students respected mat rules. I can’t recommend this gym enough – if you’re in the area I recommend you stop by and i
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Fit for Our Homeschool Family! We couldn’t be happier with this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class! It has been the perfect addition to our homeschool routine. Aurelio and Stephanie are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and amazing with kids of all ages. They create a positive, respectful environment where our children feel safe, challenged, and excited to learn every week. Not only are they building physical strength and coordination, but they’re also developing discipline, confidence, and focus—skills that go beyond the mat and into everyday life. It’s clear the coaches truly care about each student’s progress and character. If you’re a homeschool family looking for a fun, empowering activity that promotes both physical fitness and personal growth, this is it. Highly recommend!
We have loved Presa for the last 2+ years! My oldest gained confidence, manners, jiu jitsu skills, and friends there. We love the coaches-they are honest and helpful. When we’ve watched them with our kids at tournaments or in classes they are dedicated to the students learning well. They don’t skip out on technique to save time. They work through it making sure their students understand. They also frequently message parents to let them know how their kids are doing and progressing which I love! They are consistent and loyal to providing a safe and clean environment. I always feel safe letting my littles be there even if I have to run an errand during class because I know they are well taken care of.
We love the homeschool class, my son Matthew enjoys it so much. They look forward to learning and seeing their coaches. Coach Stephany herself is a homeschool mom and couch Aurelio does his best to have a good relationship with the kids. I personally don’t leave my kids anywhere without supervision and I feel safe leaving my kids during class, my kids enjoy the socialization and feel empowered to protect themselves if necessary.
I was in Corpus Christi for a week and dropped in to train. From the very start, everyone made me feel welcome, and the owner was gracious to let me train as much as needed during my time there. I attended the daytime classes, and there was always a solid number of people there to get many rolls in. It's a good mix of upper and lower belts, all of them technically sound, which speaks to the quality of the instruction there. The owner also worked with me and gave me some excellent tips for addressing holes in my game. I had great training here and am looking forward to the next time I'll be in town again. If you're looking for a gym in Corpus Christi, I can't recommend Presa highly enough!
