We were the first Lamb to Lion student when Kingdom opened, and we are still there today! We’re excited for our other son to start soon as well. I can’t say enough about Coach Charlie. His skill, patience, and desire to train is unmatched…not to mention this man and his wife Coach Eden have become our family. Not only does he go above and beyond teaching my son and developing his skills in Jiu Jitsu, but he loves this kid (and all the kids) as his own. I love that this gyms foundation is faith and family and we are proud to be OGs of Kingdom Jiu Jitsu in Yukon!
My 4-year-old is in the Lambs to Lions class. He loves it because Coach Charlie creates a fun atmosphere while teaching the kids about respect and discipline. After a few months of working hard, I've seen my boy become more willing to do things he doesn't always feel like doing: chores, eating veggies, etc. Can I say, "Just practicing jiu-jitsu did that?" Not necessarily, but I've also seen my kid overcome fear and laziness on the mats. Things I wish I'd been taught at a younger age. After attending a few lessons with him I knew that I wanted to take classes too, so now we both train at Kingdom Jiu-Jitsu Academy and we feel right at home.
I would just like to say in response to the 2-star review of “Mr. K.” Your boys were highly disruptive, disrespectful, and destructive. You seem to forget that we other parents pay for our children to be here too and your kids were constantly responsible for slowing down the productivity of the entire class. And now here you are, again, trying to hurt the gym and take away future training partners for my son and his teammates. The work Professor Charlie, Coach Eden, & Coach Gunner put in on these kids is unlike any other child’s program I’ve ever seen! Your kids will gain so much from this school, I highly recommend you call them for your free trial and come see just what these kids can do!!
I can't say enough good things about this jiu-jitsu academy! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and part of the community. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you understand the techniques. The classes are well-structured, catering to all skill levels, and the atmosphere is both motivating and supportive. The facility itself is top-notch, with clean mats and plenty of space to train. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this is the place to be!
Our experience has been incredible! Coach Charlie and Coach Eden are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but they create a supportive environment where kids feel encouraged and challenged. They push students to improve while always making them feel capable and confident. It’s been amazing to see how much the kids have grown in discipline, focus, and skill over time. Jiu-Jitsu here isn’t just about learning tactics and submissions—it’s about being part of a great community with friends and coaches who truly care.
