Coach Jonas has played a vital role in my development in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over the past couple of years. Many early mornings spent working together on the mats have personally helped me evolve into a better version of the man I want to be. Coach Jonas recognizes that not all students learn the same way, and takes an approach to coaching that is welcoming, patient, and will work for anyone. I am stoked that we finally have a BJJ gym in Glenpool. Now come and learn!
I've been training BJJ for ~7 years, and with just under 2 years with Jonas at Ground Control. What really makes this school outstanding are high quality instruction and focus on everyone's safety, the culture that's Jonas has developed, and awesome people to train and spend your time with (Jonas and fellow students). I'd highly recommend anyone in the area who is interested in BJJ for sport, self-defense, a fun workout, or any combination to give GC a try.
Jonas is great with all levels of experience and training need. His understanding of technique helps beginners, and he is always welcoming. I’m out of shape, struggled getting out on the mats and Jonas always bade me feel welcome and encouraged me to keep working. Definitely would recommend if you’re close enough to train here, you won’t find a better teacher for all ages.
Ground control jiu-jitsu is top notch instruction located in Glenpool Oklahoma. Great environment and culture..... wonderful kids class. Jonas is great whether you are 5 or 55. They also have striking and MMA classes as well. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.
