The Forge is hands down one of the best jiu-jitsu gyms in Oklahoma City. The instruction here is top-notch — clear, technical, and always evolving. Whether you're brand new to BJJ or training for competition, there are classes tailored to your level in both gi and no-gi. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and it truly feels like a community. They also offer an impressive variety of classes: beginner-friendly sessions, advanced and competition-level training, and even world-class striking instruction. The kids program is fantastic too — structured, fun, and skill-focused. If you're looking for a place to train hard, learn from high-level coaches, and be part of a supportive team, The Forge delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend.
We enrolled our children at The Forge a little over 6 months ago and are very happy with the experience. There are a number of available options for children to attend class Mon-Thursday, as well as a new Homeschool program opening for students on Wednesday and Friday during the day. The coaches are informed, friendly, and patient with all of the kids. Our family enjoys multiple classes a week, and the playroom that’s available for younger children is a huge bonus. My husband and I also attend classes during the week. Coach JP runs the womens class on Monday and is a great instructor who makes first timers feel welcome and comfortable. I hate missing a class! Professor Harper’s curriculum class is also fun and challenging. All of the instructors are there to help you on your journey and encourage questions. We are very supportive of The Forge and encourage anyone, any age, to come try a class!
The Forge is hands down the best place to train in Edmond and OKC. You’ll learn valuable skills, get in shape, and train with incredible coaches and teammates who genuinely care about you. Whether you’re new or experienced, you’ll find high-level training partners, expert instruction, and a true sense of community. The Forge even supports cross-training, helping grow Oklahoma’s jiu-jitsu scene.
I've had the opportunity to train at several Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academies and I can tell you that the training at Edmond United is second to none. If you are looking for a fun form of exercise to beat the intimidating monotony of a "regular" gym, then this is the place for you. Not only will you find those abs you forgot you had but you will also learn useful self defense skill!
I trained with Professor Harper while he was at Lovato's BJJ for about a year or so. I always loved his Sunday class. He is incredibly technical and breaks each step down, slowly and patiently, to make sure everyone understands. One of the nicest people I've met and a great instructor.
We started our son here 2 years ago. He was unsure of himself and lacked self confidence. Training with coaches Chuck, Austin, Karl and his peers allowed our son to achieve the confidence and mastery of self defense he needs to succeed. We had to stop the membership due to relocation but would recommend this BJJ dojo to anyone with shy/timid children.
