Five Points Academy is located in lower Manhattan and close to several subway stops making it easy to get to - The B, D, J, 4 and 6 are a short walk away.

When I went I was greeted by the very nice Nadia who was working the front desk. She was super helpful as was instructor Gianna Smith. Smith helps manage the two story gym and is very experienced. She's trained out of the very technical Sitjaopho gym in Hua Hin Thailand and has fought for the USMF (United States Muay Thai Federation) on several occasions. She picked up a gold medal in the 2017 Pan American games and has a solid amount of experience in the states and Thailand.

The facility opens up with a small pro shop and then a kettlebell area. Behind it is the locker rooms which have showers!!! Downstairs is another strength and conditioning area along with several treadmills. The area has a full bag area, ring, and area for jiu jitsu. There are plenty of locker rooms
Five Points Academy is the best gym / martial arts school I've ever been a part of. The dedicated staff / instructors / owners are top shelf. The facility is clean and well kept up by a great cleaning staff. They offer a variety of martial arts disciplines. Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Judo, BJJ and Muay Thai. They also have kettle bell classes, mobility classes and an open gym with weights and cardio machines. Depending on the package you sign up for you can get involved in all of them. The class schedules are terrific. Whether you want to get in shape, lose weight, learn a discipline or you just come to hang out with Boris the gym dog, Five Points is your new spot! It's a terrific community.
I was visiting New York from California this past weekend just for leisure but wanted to fir in some train. In researching places in New York, I came across Five Points and also heard of them from a couple people. I contacted them through email and they were super quick and very kind! I appreciated their hospitality very much! Gianna had contacted me through email to provide a schedule and was very welcoming—even provided some awesome places to eat!
On to the training—really enjoyed their Muay Thai classes led by Coach Steve and Greg. Both coaches are very experienced and focus on technique, which is what I really look for! I appreciated the feedback they gave me. I wish I could have taken more classes while visiting, but I will definitely be back when I am in the area again. Thank you Five Points. I hope to see you again soon!
I've been coming here for almost 2 years. This place has great instructors and class sizes are fairly small to allow for personalized feedback. The place is always kept very clean and they have a well-equipped weight room. The Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs are very strong and everyone (coaches, teammates, front desk staff and cleaning staff) is very supportive and welcoming. They also offer Judo and Kali instruction as well as calisthenics and kettlebell classes. Swing by and check out FPA!!
I've trained at a number of martial arts studios in my life and Five Points Academy is the best. The coaches are knowledgable and helpful, the classes are demanding and exciting, the facilities are fantastic and beautifully maintained and The students are hardworking and eager to help new folks. The gym has a great atmosphere. The schedule is extensive and the additional offerings besides the amazing Muay Thai classes will keep you busy and working hard.

Extra points for towel service, kettle bell training, helpful staff, and an awesome workout coupled with serious technique!

Join this gym today
The gym is clean, the instructors are passionate & knowledgeable, and every single staff member is so welcoming -- all of it makes this place so special. Words don't do justice how highly I recommend Five Points to anyone who is remotely interested in martial arts or living a more active lifestyle. Everybody can find something here no matter what their fitness goals are and what level they are at. Becoming part of this community has been a profoundly positive decision in my life. Stand strong 💪
