I was invited to attend a trial class at WNY MMA & Fitness and I’m glad I did. Their crew of both coaches & fellow students are awesome. Always greeted with a friendly smile at the door and they approach teaching in a way that allows for even the most novice of newcomers to begin their journey of learning. They meet you where you are at skill-wise, and allow for a proper introduction to any of their many arts including MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Judo. I personally have a 15+yr history of bodybuilding and powerlifting so I know the value of avoiding injury. No sport is 100% safe from injury, but I’ve had a few key experiences here that show me they value safe training and try to minimize unnecessary injury to staff & students. The value of that approach alone is priceless in this space. Their coaches and professors are top talent in their fields. Anyone from beginner to professional and anything in
It was my 1st time taking a class for boxing and jiu-jitsu, I was so nervous not knowing what to expect. My experience was so phenomenal that I signed up for future one on one classes. I’m excited for my next class, I felt really good and relieved when leaving out. Steve is a great trainer, I appreciate him and his skills. In the future, I look forward to also working with other trainers for one on one classes. Please enjoy my sneak peak video from my 1st boxing class, don’t judge lol I was super exhausted the video was recorded at the end of my class. Shout out to the guy at the front desk for the great video lol everyone is amazing there 🥰.
We love WNY MMA! ...my daughter and I have both been training here for the past year. This is an incredibly healthy gym culture. They have instructors who know their skills, are good at teaching, and create a welcoming environment for members, visitors, and newcomers. The other members are serious about their training, but encouraging towards each other, and friendly to new faces. They have everyone from kids to retirees, women and men, first time athletes to professional fighters. The business is organized, professional, clean, and communicates well, not to mention there are classes available in a wide variety of times in all of the major grappling and striking styles. I primarily train at the North Buffalo location, but have had similar experiences at the Eastern Hills location as well. WNY MMA is awesome!
In April, my husband called several MMA gyms to obtain Info to sign our 12yo son up for classes. WNY MMA was the ONLY gym to return our call and is also the furthest one from our home in the southtowns. We brought our son in for a free trial class and ended up signing him up immediately. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is friendly, kind and welcoming, from the staff, trainers & coaches to fellow gym members. We just signed our son up for his 2nd 6 months and could not be happier to make the trip from the southtowns (pretty much 5-6 days a week). His confidence has grown tremendously. 10/10 would recommend WNY MMA! We are grateful!
My 8yr son has attended this kids MMA class for 8 months. We absolutely love it! I could not have found a better beginner jiu jitsu class for his age group. The staff are very kind and generous. The facility is clean spacious compared to some other gyms we have seen. And the skill level of the coaches is top notch! We plan to be a member of this gym for many years.
I've been training at WNYMMA for over 5 years. Rather you are looking to start a fight career or just get some exercise and boost your confidence they are the best MMA gym around. They are one big family and you will be accepted with open arms. I'm lucky to train with amazingly talented coaches and team mates. Customer service is spectacular. The head BJJ coach is absolutely AMAZING. I would definitely recommend 10/10.
