I currently train with Professor Buckwitz at CSNYCBJJ and I have to say that after training with several teachers over the last 10 years that his knowledge of practical and efficient BJJ is truly excellent. It can also be difficult to find knowledgeable people who can also teach but his creativity and patience make for a very enjoyable learning experience. Each session the learnt skill level is high as well as the cardio level. I leave there a sweaty mess each class. Buck values technique over strength and timing over twitchy so there is low chance of serious injury. This guy knows his stuff. Period.
I enrolled my kids here (ages 12 and 10) and I was so intrigued by what they were doing i decide to try to .... at 46 years old. A testament to Anthony, Gary and Olek’s teachings .... is that I have remained injury free for the past 14 months and there is no turning back. I’m addicted. This place is awesome. The instructors are incredible and patient. The students are all like family and everyone helps everyone else rise to be the best they can. Jiu jitsu is a journey and this is the place to be.
I started my jiu jitsu journey at Zero G two years ago and it’s truly changed my life. My confidence level and physical fitness have been elevated significantly and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the art. The space at the school itself is awesome as well! Great location, clean, some gym equipment if I want to get a quick lift in, nice mats. All in all this place rules 10/10 would recommend!
I'm practicing jiujitsu for last 5 years fond this amazing gym Prof Buck is amazing he's mix of modern jiujitsu and old school style is one of the best I've experienced in all my practice highly recommend to at least try a class or stopped by if you traveling.
Anthony, Gary and Oleks are all technical, well respected, and very talented coaches. They challenge students to not only perform clean techniques, but also to fully understand why and when each technique should be used. They offer specific feedback on strengths and weaknesses of your game. Students are welcoming, diverse, and from all different walks of life. So grateful I found out about this hidden jewel.
Don’t even second guess it just go. I’m really short and was super intimidated especially when I saw that it was ppl much bigger than me. The instructor and even some of the regulars paid extra attention to me when I told them this and I got it! I was able to flip the instructor! They also made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. Go here! Do a class pass or a their trial!
