North Bergen MMA and boxing is an amazing place to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA! Professor Julio Rodriguez is a wonderful instructor with many years of successful martial arts training and instruction! He is an excellent instructor from the Machado Jiu Jitsu lineage! He is extremely knowledgeable and patient with his students! If you want to train at a gear school I highly advise you give it a try!

This is an amazing place to train and become empowered. The instructors are in tuned with each member's abilities and is keen on providing training techniques that work. High passion, support, and great energy are felt throughout a typical training session; and no training sessions are typical. If you want a challenge and a great sense of belonging, then this is the place to be!

Incredible! Everyone here, from the instructors, to the owners are humble and want to help you out. I knew I wanted to be active but was not wanting to go to a traditional gym. Glad I stopped by and signed up. My favorite part is there are other people here in the same boat as me, looking to make a change and be around like minded individuals. There’s no pressure and you are never forced into contact or anything that makes you uncomfortable. It’s nice when your “no face hits” boundary is respected. 5 stars!
The instructors are always willing to answer questions and And always check that we have proper form while training, the community is very helpful and amazing. Language is not a problem at all , the community has many people from many cultures and languages.
