I've been training under Professor Julio (for BJJ) for 2+ years now and he's an incredibly talented Martial Artist, a fantastic mentor, an awesome human being, and an excellent instructor. To have a gem and a resource like this for BJJ (and other Martial Arts) in the NYC-Metro area is an incredible opportunity that should not be passed up. Personally, I've been training in Martial Arts for 25+ years (on and off), and dealing with chronic illness, injury, etc., so the importance of a great instructor and a supportive learning environment are critical to the success of my journey, and I firmly believe that this holds true for any Martial Artist, regardless of their individual goals. The best self defense school around! The professionalism and the knowledge of Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing is second to none. Don't hesitate stop by on open mat nights and I guarantee you'll love every aspect of your instruction. Fun for the kids and an awesome tool for self defense. Amazing exercise for the adults along with the ability to learn how to protect yourself and your family. They also have a program for the law enforcement community, to learn how to protect the public and the officers themselves from harm. I was so nervous joining because I never went to the gym and thought I wouldn't be able to work out with everyone else. However, Professor Julio makes the classes so interesting and keeps you so motivated. I feel joining Anaconda and having an instructor like Julio was one of the best decisions I made.
