This is a fantastic BJJ academy and I cannot say enough good things about the level of instruction, positive attitude of the instructors and students and environment as a whole. Myself and five of my kids have been training here for a year and absolutely love it. The kids classes are top notch and have a perfect balance of fun and challenge and the instruction is on point for the various age ranges. The adult classes are superb in that the instructors are able to clearly and concisely convey individual techniques taught in the class and tie them to the over arching principles of movement, positional and situational awareness. Skills taught are focused on efficiency and effectiveness gained by the instructors' own experiences, not flashy "impress your friends are parties" type fluff. I highly recommend for kids and adults.
I walked in here one day with no experience or expectation. It was before any classes had started so no one was there except for Ron, who was cleaning the mats. He greeted me with a handshake and a smile and took the time to not only explain how beneficial Jiu-Jitsu is to my future career, but how it translates into almost every facet of life. He explained he runs his school in a safe, family atmosphere with an end goal of producing confident and productive members of society; however, that goal isn't accomplished without hard work and dedication from all. I joined and was happy to see that Ron wasn't lying! I've been training here for months now, gained a whole new skillset, lost weight, and made some great friends. As a former elementary school teacher, I was very impressed with how engaging the kids classes are given the large spectrum of age, skill, and abilities. Try a class, you will not regret it!
5/5. Thank you to the instructors and owners. Great school. My kids are learning key tools and skills - the kids very much like the instructors and professor. Order is maintained during lessons which is important, some stretching and fitness which are also key, and the instructors still find time to make the class fun for the kids. We had the kids in another school that closed and tested out quite a few other schools and this was and is by far the best we found - where I’m confident my kids will learn jiujitsu and life skills. The training at this academy will absolutely change your life. The environment is completely positive and friendly. I’ve met so many amazing people who I now call family. There was no pressure or anxiety for a new person coming in without any experience. If you want to truly learn about real self defense this should be you go to academy. Everything from daily life lessons to surviving an attack on the street are taught here. Jiu Jitsu has become a way of life and there is no going back now. The kids classes rock and I challenge anyone to find a better class for kids anywhere!
This is the best high level training you can get in our area hands down. Most classes have 2 black belts on the mats. The level of training you get is well worth the money. They also do Gracie self-defense classes weekly. They have a 6th degree blak belt, a 3rd degree black belt and 2 other professor level black belts to learn from and the roll with. This all combined with Gracie jujitsu and self-defense is why I train here. The students are respectful with no egos. This is a truly a great school and I am happy to be part of this community.
What a great class for kids! Ron, the instructor is so great with the kids - and so patient. He makes it fun for them and I can see how his kids class can really develop their self-confidence and esteem. He promotes a real camaraderie between all the kids too. I'd recommend this class to any parent for their children, boys and girls.
