GREAT EXPERIENCE! My daughter and I were in Fairfield for a couple of weeks on vacation and wanted to train. Their instructors are top-notch not only in their jiujitsu skills, but also in their teaching and professionalism. Deborah Gracie is amazing and was very welcoming to us. Let's talk about the quality of the program. I took private lessons; my daughter took classes and private lessons. First the classes: professional, warm, fun, encouraging, and impressive. There were several Black Belts on the floor giving dedicated attention to the students. It was clear to me the kids were having fun and learning, which is obviously the goal. I studied with Professor Ivo for private lessons. What can I say? In a word - amazing. He worked with me and my limitations to help me return to Jiujitsu training after being away for so many years. I was extremely impressed with how he broke down the moves AT MY ABILITY LEVEL. He didn't just show a move w

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by a community of passionate and skilled practitioners. The instructors are top-notch, not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient, making sure every student, whether a beginner or advanced, receives personalized attention and guidance. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, What truly sets this school apart is the positive atmosphere – it’s a place where growth is encouraged, both on and off the mats. The camaraderie among students is amazing, creating a space that fosters mutual respect and support.Whether you're looking to train for fitness, self-defense, or compete, this school has it all. It’s an incredible environment for personal growth, and I’m so grateful to be a part of this Jiu-Jitsu family. If you're even remotely considering giving Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a try,
We signed our son up at Gracie Sports because his cousin goes to the Fairfield location. At first he was a bit hesitant and unsure about trying something new. But after that first class, he came home excited and couldn’t wait to go back. The instructors at Gracie Sports are fantastic with kids. They strike a great balance between being encouraging, fun, and instilling important values like discipline, respect, and perseverance. The facility is clean, welcoming, and professionally run. It’s clear that the staff care deeply about the students and their progress. I’m really glad we signed him up because it’s been a great experience. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a quality martial arts program for their child.
I am almost 48-years-old and have been thinking about starting BJJ for years. A good friend stayed on me about how much I would like it. I am so glad I finally walked into Gracie two weeks ago. The professors were so welcoming. I did a free intro class and then signed up some with a six month package. I’m about 8 classes in right now and liking the experience much more than I expected. The professors and other students, at every level, are awesome. Everyone is understanding of the beginners and so encouraging. I feel like it is already improving every aspect of my life. I feel fit, strong, calm, and happier than I have in a while. (And pretty sore). It’s the opposite of fight club because I keep talking about it to everyone.
The academy stands out for its excellence in every aspect, starting with the renowned master and his team of instructors, all the way to the impeccable reception service. On one occasion, I visited the academy and was impressed by the organization, the welcoming atmosphere, and the family-friendly environment. I needed a child’s belt as a gift and was assisted by Instructor Jon, who was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful, showcasing the team’s commitment to exceptional service. An experience that truly reflects the academy's care and dedication in every detail.
My husband joined about a year ago, and it has changed his life in so many ways, physically he has lost a ton of weight and gotten much stronger. Emotionally he’s more focused and calm. There’s a great family dynamic at Gracie. The professors are very encouraging and helpful. They also have special event days where you can bring your significant other and children to participate and have some fun as well. They offer many opportunities to be able to join competitions and train for them. I would highly recommend Gracie Sports!
