If you're looking for no-gi Jiu Jitsu anywhere near Ocala, this is the place! Jeremy and Erik are incredible instructors, as are their other instructors. Their competitors prove how great they are. I've been training at PSF Burdhouse for almost a year and absolutely love it. Everyone is accepting, welcoming, and willing to both learn and teach. I've been to, and trained at, many schools (Pedro Sauer, Renzo Gracie, Rigan Machado) and this is by far the best instruction and culture I have ever come across. If you're looking for a new school, THIS is the best school in Ocala!!!
Before training at burdhouse, I caught wind of rumors that described the place as a “meathead gym.” So admittedly, even as someone who has trained for five years, I was nervous coming in. I was pleasantly surprised however. The facilities were nothing short of spectacular, Jeremy- the head instructor- was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the members of the gym were not only inviting, but welcoming. My initial impression of burdhouse has been completely wiped away, and now I would highly recommend it and will make a habit of training here more often.
Absolutely amazing Coach, Gym, atmosphere and everyone that trains is friendly and welcoming. The gym is a PSF affiliate and their training comes from the best organization that is recognized around the world. Jeremy is an incredible coach that takes the time to teach students at their pace and makes it a friendly Family team. Stop by and try the gym and you will feel at home from the first day. PSF 4 LIFE
If you have kids and are looking to get them involved in jiu-jitsu, bring them here. The coaches are amazing! They take the time to make sure moves are done properly in a safe environment with respect. Watching a coach take the time to make sure the kids are understanding and working one on one when needed is awesome. My kids look forward to practice every week. They love Justin, Hudson, Ellis, Jeremy and all of the staff!
Extremely happy with this gym. My son was nervous at first but now is obsessed with going again. The kids in his class recognize he is new and do the most to help him learn. This is the only gym I’ve found locally that does a kids class and an adult class immediately after. So it’s nice being able to integrate our time together. This opportunity has allowed me to grow a very cool relationship with my son doing something we both are new at.
This gym deserves 10 out of 5 stars. Moving from Orlando to Marion County was not easy, but the Burdhouse accepted me like family immediately. This gym has it all, from world class instruction, amazing training partners to a well managed and welcoming facility. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at, you will get better here. I am proud to call this my home gym and be apart of this team.
