West County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu reviews

Rated 5.0/5 across 9 Google reviews.

I've been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 1999, across several countries, and at many different gyms and dojos. Over the years I've experienced a wide range of training environments, coaching styles, and gym cultures--and I've been fortunate to find a few BJJ "families" where I truly felt connected. The places I've always stayed the longest are the ones where I felt genuinely welcomed and safe, while still being challenged to grow and improve. After being on and off the mats due to kids, job, and injuries, finding my way back to consistent training felt like a big deal. I'm happy to say I've found my new BJJ home at West County BJJ in Sebastopol. The coaches are skilled, thoughtful, and conscientious, and the training partners create an atmosphere that is both supportive and motivating. It's a place where you can learn, improve, and push yourself. I highly recommend West County BJJ for both beginners and experienced practitioners,
Dropped in for a class while traveling, I was very happy with my experience, the professor (Jordan I believe) was very friendly and knowledgeable. A small gym which allows for good supervision and personal coaching. The professor and students made me feel super welcome If you are thinking about taking jujitsu or want to put your child in classes I would definitely recommend. I will definitely make a point to go back next time I am in town.
Very friendly, welcoming space. The gym is spotless and the instructor patient and knowledgeable. I dropped in for a class while visiting and got welcomed as a friend by students and instructor alike. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone interested on learning a fun skill and getting fit
Dropped in last week and had a blast. Went to the morning 6am class. I wish I remember all the names but I felt very welcomed. The academy is very clean and there are changing rooms, and the students are just as friendly as the staff. I hope to drop by again soon. Oss!
Excellent instruction by Professor Mitch Kotok, awarded a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Master Clovis Silva, who is now a coral belt. Legit pedigree: Mitsuyo Maeda --> Carlos Gracie --> Carlson Gracie Sr. --> Clovis Silva --> Mitch Kotok.
Dropped in during a nearby staycation. They had open Mat on Saturday and everyone was welcoming and got some great rolls with a few of the local members. If I’m in the area definitely will visit again.
