If you are looking for a facility that teaches self defense and also offers a fitness class and coaching, Krav Maga Revolution may be for you. The Krav Maga classes are friendly for all skill levels and teach practical techniques for fighting and getting yourself away from an attacker. The fit classes involve working on these skills as well as a cardio/ work out portion geared towards weight loss and some strength training. The classes are not too busy (expect 2-10 others on average) which is nice if you like more one- on – one time/ attention from the instructor. Getting into the routine of things happens pretty quickly and you will see results if you attend often enough. The instructor will also help you with a diet plan to help you achieve your goal. I attended three times a week for 6 weeks and definitely feel stronger and in better shape, but I had a hard time making the sessions as few were in the afternoon, closed on Saturdays, a
Coming from a background of judo, kickboxing, and weightlifting, I am extremely selective when it comes to fitness and martial arts classes. Krav Maga Revolution holds up to my (ridiculously) high standards. Classes are never the same twice; it's impossible to get bored training with Asher. The community is incredible, with students and instructors alike being friendly, helpful, and highly enthusiastic. Everything we practice in class has real-world application: no nonsense, practical, and to the point. As a young woman, I feel much more confident in my ability to defend myself in any precarious and potentially dangerous situation I may encounter, from a mugging to a knife threat to a guy getting aggressive at a party. I always leave KravFit workout classes feeling strong, sweaty, and satisfied with the feeling of having gotten a great workout in. Asher ensures that every single moment of class is safe, fun, and educational. If you want
I just completed a 6-week transformation course at Krav Maga Revolution and I could not recommend it highly enough. Throughout the 6 weeks, I lost a total of 20lbs, but even if I hadn’t lost any weight, I would still recommend the experience. Going to the classes made me feel more focused at work, and my endurance and stamina improved tremendously. The classes were definitely challenging (some more than others, especially Filthy Fridays!) but with Asher and the supportive environment, I felt encouraged and was able to push myself further than I expected. Asher is a really great teacher. He is very knowledgeable about Krav Maga, and he’s definitely passionate about his students and making sure they succeed. He did a great job explaining the different skills in depth, going over the movements, variations, and practical usages. He always made sure to ask if there were any injuries to report, putting our safety first, and I always felt comf
I heard about Krav Maga over the years and finally was sold when a law enforcement training instructor - who specialized in active shooter situations - told me that out of any martial arts or self defense classes, Krav Maga is by far the most useful. I quickly found Krav Maga Revolution and then met with Asher for a free consultation to discuss what my options were for classes. I decided to sign up for the six week challenge, which consisted of training at least 3x a week combined with a customized nutrition plan. I was a bit nervous if there would be other women in the classes, and thankfully there were actually numerous other women attending the classes. Starting off the challenge was difficult at first, since I was basically removing a ton of sugar and processed foods while seriously upping protein consumption, but I finally acclimated and trusted the process. The rewards were invaluable, considering I gained three pounds of muscle w
Had my first session in 30+ years and KMR was the perfect place to start over. Asher is patient and thoughtful, he is knowledgeable a/b multiple disciplines and shared his real life experiences during class. Not just random facts but 'if you do A than you're prepared for B, C could happen too', etc. I'm twice the woman (IYKYK) I was the last time I trained so I've been hesitant a/b finding a facility for years. Have to get in shape before you can get in shape, right? Not here, I didn't get overwhelmed b/c it was basic enough that I could follow along. At the same time, it was advanced enough that while I was engaging my core - my mind was engaged. Most importantly, Asher and his students allowed me to feel comfortable enough to return. I wish it hadn't taken being assaulted by a violent stranger to get me back on the mat. I don't want to start a fight but I know I want to be healthy - w/less injuries than the assailant. It's great that
I’ve always wanted to take a self-defense class but have felt too intimidated and worried about looking foolish. Oh, the irony! My friends suggested we try it together and it was an awesome experience! I’m 56 years old and deeply regret not doing this class sooner. I really liked the instructor/owner, Asher. He is down-to-earth, no nonsense, very professional and appropriate. He makes you feel comfortable and safe. He is serving a great need in teaching us how to get home safe. Asher is a truly great instructor who cares about helping people stay alive and well. I’m also grateful that I was paired with Liz, a talented young woman, who had been training with Asher for about 2 months. She was compassionate, sensitive, and she kicks ass! Carol, who helped demonstrate the various moves with Asher, was also awesome and kind. I highly recommend the Krav Maga self-defense class for women. I plan to take it again with my 29 year old daughter!
