I can't say enough about how incredible Ultra Jiu Jitsu Gym is! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine kindness. Ultra offered an incredible deal that made it an easy decision—and it turned out to be one of the best choices we’ve ever made. Jiu Jitsu was something I had always wanted to do, and I thought it would be a great experience for my son as well. From the start, Coach Alexis stood out as the heart of the program. My family and I have been part of the Ultra Jujutsu community for over two years now, and I can confidently say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I don’t have the words to adequately describe how incredible of a gym Ultra BJJ is. They cultivate some of the most encouraging and friendly energy I have ever experienced in a gym. “Gym” doesn’t even sound like the right word to use. The coaches are incredible, the people who train here are so helpful, motivating, and kind. I am so grateful to have had this BJJ academy as the foundation to my jiu jitsu journey. I have been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost 11 years at a variety of schools and let me tell you the talent here is world class. Pedro and Sky are world class competitors that learned to teach and operate a school at one of the best academies in the world and they have brought that here to the SCV. Alexis has been running highly successful businesses for years and has brought that experience as well which, as a customer, helps because I have been to fly by night academies that have no idea what is going on from the business perspective and you end up suffering because of it. Whether you're brand new and have no athletic bone in your body or you fancy yourself a talented black belt Ultra has something for you. They have classes throughout the day for kids and adults and honestly I am just happy to have found an academy that has talented training partners without the weird vibe of some places.
Deciding to take up Jiu Jitsu in my late 40’s was not an easy decision, but I realized that it would be now or never. I was blessed to come across Ultra this past December. Everyone at Ultra welcomed me with open arms thus starting my Jiu Jitsu journey. I have lost 38 pounds and have been taken off my high blood pressure medication for the first time since 2001. Ultra offers endless opportunities for growth but you have to be willing to put in the work. Ultra has morning and evening classes so there is no excuse for you to miss your weekly training goal.
