As a student at Solidarity BJJ, I can confidently say that this gym is a true gem in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. From day one, I have felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged by both the instructors and my fellow students. Solidarity BJJ is not just a place to train—it's a community that embraces and uplifts practitioners of all levels. The instructors at Solidarity BJJ are not only experts in their craft but also passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping students grow. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps on the mat or a more experienced practitioner looking to refine your skills, you will find the guidance and support you need here. What sets Solidarity BJJ apart is its commitment to inclusivity and respect for all students. Regardless of your background, skill level, or goals, you are welcomed with open arms and treated with kindness and respect. The camaraderie among students is palpable, creating a pos
I cannot recommend this gym enough! From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much care is put into keeping the space clean, organized, and safe, which immediately gives both parents and kids peace of mind. The facilities are always spotless, and you can see the staff taking pride in maintaining a welcoming environment. What really sets this gym apart is the true family-friendly atmosphere. Kids feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged while also being motivated to give their best. The instructors not only teach with skill but also go out of their way to boost morale and keep kids engaged in a positive way. It’s not just one person overseeing a group, there are often multiple instructors (we love Kiko!) working alongside the kids at the same time. This makes the student-to-instructor ratio fantastic, ensuring every child gets the attention, guidance, and encouragement they need. Thank you Solidarity Family!
Since starting at Solidarity Jiu Jitsu in February 2024, I’ve been blown away by the sense of community and top-tier instruction. The gym is welcoming and supportive from the moment you step in, making it easy to feel at home, regardless of your background or experience. Kiko, Mike, Fernando, and Sebastian are fantastic instructors who bring patience, skill, and enthusiasm to every class. They genuinely care about your progress and create an atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged to improve at their own pace. What I love most is the inclusive culture here—it’s a place where everyone helps each other grow. The friendships and camaraderie that come from training at Solidarity are just as valuable as the skills you gain on the mat. If you’re looking for a gym that combines great teaching with a friendly, community-driven vibe, Solidarity Jiu Jitsu is the place to be!
My 9yo son has been coming here since Dec and he really enjoys it. The coaches are great and so patient with the kids. My son looks forward to jujitsu days (which was never the case with other sports). I can see him not only learn jujitsu skills, but also being part of a team, being accountable and having fun. The gym is VERY clean, visually aesthetic 🪴, they are organized (cubbies for your things, changing rooms, etc) and classes are on time. There is plenty of seating for parents. Many parents have noted how great it is to have 3 days of kid classes (sounds like other places don't have as many options). The community of parents and other members is also very welcoming and friendly. Nearby liquor store is great if you forgot water or need a snack. We really like it here, recommend it and will probably add our daughter in the near future. And yes, there are many girls there, both kids and adults. 😊
I visited Solidarity Jiu Jitsu for their South Bay Fall Invitational and I was very impressed with their clean facilities and welcoming environment. Their students were all very respectful and their jiu jitsu was legit! They have an excellent reputation in the jiu jitsu community and I would highly recommend them for all ages.
I've been training in grappling for 10+ years and I am very pleased every chance I get to participate in Solidarity Jiu Jitsu's programs. The team is so friendly and passionate in helping their students, members and community. No matter the level of experience I feel anyone can develop a strong foundation of skills here. Some of the best jiu jitsu in San Jose if you ask me!
