I’ve been training at Gracie Barra San Clemente for two and a half years, and it’s been an awesome experience! Professor Marcus and Felipe are incredible—super knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Trying something new is intimidating by itself, and a martial art makes it ten times more so, but from day one, they did a great job of welcoming me as a new student and putting me at ease. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-equipped, making every class top-notch. They also offer a fantastic kids’ program that’s perfect for building confidence, discipline, and skills in young students. It’s great for anybody at any age level—truly Jiu-Jitsu for everyone! It’s an amazing community where I’ve made great friends and learned so much. Also, not to mention the amazing benefits of doing jiu-jitsu, finding this place was a true treasure!! Highly recommend!
We checked out Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School for the first time this week and WOW… we’re officially hooked. My 6-year-old son John went in for his first class ever (and it was free!), and let me tell you — he walked out sweaty, smiling ear-to-ear, and already asking, “When do I go again?” 😂 That alone sold me. The instructors and professors are seriously top-tier — super skilled, super patient, and AMAZING with kids. They know how to keep the little ones focused without killing the fun. The kids actually listen, behave, and most importantly… they LOVE being there. It’s the kind of discipline that kids don’t even realize they’re learning because they’re having such a good time. Our whole family LOVES GB San Clemente! Professor Felipe has put together a strong team of talented and inspiring instructors that help make this place amazing for the whole family. The kids program is top notch - Prof. Felipe and Prof. Scott are a great team and their passion for teaching comes through loud and clear. My boys love going to their "spin-jitsu" classes. Training in the adult program here has changed my life in many ways. I came in looking for a physical challenge (which it is!) but it's intellectual and emotional challenges that keep me coming back. <3
I started training here several years back and it has been a life changing experience for me. I've always been an aggressive guy and struggled with my ability to channel it in the most productive way. Now I have lots of fun and laughter while channeling my aggression in a highly productive way. There is a great group of tough guys that I have fun with, challenging my skills against theirs. My son started training here when he turned 5 years old. The kids classes are a good place for children to build confidence and friendships. The instructors are talented and thoughtful. This is a great organization that has been a blessing in my life! Get into shape physically, emotionally, even spiritually within the walls of this school.
Amazing Jiu jitsu school. SUPER welcoming to beginners and SO much resident knowledge. Several black belts in each class. Whether you are just starting out or seeking to push yourself they will meet you where you are at and make you better. And the kids classes are incredible! Super clean mats and facilities. Easy parking. Safe area. They have it all.
My son and I have been training here for a few years now. Everyone here is great. The professors and coaches are incredibly skilled and exceptional at translating those skills into lessons that everyone can understand. The kids classes are very well structured and will give your kids confidence and the ability to protect themselves all while maintaining a fun vibe. Tge adult classes teach you everything you can want at all skill level. Gracie Barra San Clemente has become another family to us.
