I wanted to reach out and share my experience with 10th Planet Palmdale, as my daughter has been taking Jiu-Jitsu classes there for the past five months. I have seen such a positive change in her; she is both physically and mentally stronger than she has ever been. She has learned a great deal of technique along with vital life-saving self-defense skills. Coach Jimmy is hands down the best coach. He gets to know all the kids one-on-one and truly understands what each of them is capable of achieving. There are many other amazing coaches there as well who know all the kids by name, and the coach-to-student ratio is perfect. I would definitely recommend bringing your child or even yourself to any of the classes they have to offer. You will not be disappointed!
I had the opportunity to train at 10th Planet while in town for work, and it was an awesome experience. I typically train Gi in San Diego, so this was my first time diving into the nogi game. I attended both the beginner and advanced classes back-to-back, both taught by Jimmy. His instruction was highly technical and incredibly thorough—he really takes the time to break things down in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. What stood out the most was the welcoming atmosphere. Jimmy was extremely gracious and even offered for me to train there for the remainder of my work trip. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be stopping by again. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to level up their No-Gi game!
This is THE spot for grappling in the AV. Jimmy, Tim and Javi are phenomenal and highly skilled coaches. On top of being competitors themselves they are constantly pushing their students to grow. A very welcoming environment where you're thrown right into the action if you're that type of person or gradually work from the beginner classes to All Levels. My whole family trains here and we wouldn't have it any other way. Lets roll!
I'm a brown belt who usually trains in northern California. This has become my place to train when I visit Palmdale. The coaches and students have been incredibly welcoming, and I always step away with a new piece of knowledge. If you are in the AV and want the best no-gi, come train here. You'll love it.
One of those little known gems in the AV. You don’t need to go far for expert coaching. Highly recommend for both adults and especially kids. Teaching life skills on the mats that transcend beyond just teaching Jiu Jitsu - confidence, resilience and coordination.
The cleanest, most friendly spot to develop FINE jiujitsu! Jimmy is one of the best coaches in the game. He teaches with precision and simplicity and he is thrilled to see us have fun getting better. This is definitely the place ❤
