I can’t recommend this place enough. We tried numerous jiu-jitsu academies in order to find the right fit for our son when he was 4. Some other academies were too pricy, the classes had too many kids (which was overwhelming for our son), or it just didn’t feel right. When we tried classes at 760 jiu-jitsu, Professor Ryan was kind and understanding. My son had the roughest month or two while getting used to the structure. Professor Ryan remained calm yet stern with my son. Eventually, my son became more disciplined and started learning technique, thanks to Professor Ryan and the other coaches. Our family felt accepted and welcomed by all the other families. We built connection and community. My husband and I eventually started jiu-jitsu ourselves. We will also be starting our daughter when she’s ready. We are so grateful for the patience, commitment, and love this academy has shown our family.
If you’re in the Oceanside area, 760 is the spot to be! The head professor who runs the evening classes is super cool, down-to-earth, and always willing to help. He answers all your questions and will even stay after class just to help out—I’ve never been to a school that does that. Even though I train at a different gym in San Bernardino, they let me drop in whenever I’m working in San Diego—for free. That kind of hospitality is rare. I’ve had the opportunity to train in the mornings with Braulio, and that’s been amazing as well. There’s zero drama—just people motivating each other to get better and pushing each other to keep showing up and improving. If you’re looking for a family vibe and a chill but focused training environment, this is it. They also compete, so if you’re into that, you’ll find a few serious teammates to push you. Their kids program is phenomenal—my cousin trains there and the classes are always full. It’s a great p
I can’t say enough great things about 760 Jiu-Jitsu. The owner, Ryan, does an incredible job working with kids. He’s patient, encouraging, and really knows how to connect with them while teaching important skills. Not only do the kids learn discipline and patience, but they also gain real confidence and learn how to defend themselves in a safe and respectful environment. Ryan creates a positive atmosphere where the kids feel supported while still being challenged to grow. If you’re looking for a place where your child can learn jiu-jitsu while also building character and confidence, I highly recommend 760 Jiu-Jitsu. Ryan is truly amazing with the kids and it shows in the way they learn and improve.
760 Jiu Jitsu is absolutely crushing it—especially in the mornings. With five early classes a week and a black belt running the show, they’ve built something special for anyone looking to start their day with purpose and intensity. Coach Braulio has played a huge role in taking the morning program to the next level. His classes are technical, structured, and motivating. You can tell he puts thought into every detail, and the results speak for themselves—everyone’s leveling up fast. The crew that shows up at 6 am is full of killers, but it's also one of the most supportive and tight-knit groups I’ve trained with. Whether you're looking to compete, get in shape, or just train consistently with solid people, this place has it all. Can’t recommend 760 Jiu Jitsu enough. Morning classes here set the tone for your entire day.
If you are looking for a great place for your child to learn the fundamentals of jiu jitsu, build discipline & confidence, & have fun - you must check out 760 Jiu Jitsu! My son (now 8) has been training at this location since Oct 2025. Prior to that, he had a year of jiu jitsu experience when he started in Japan. After moving to the area & checking out different locations, we found 760 to be the best place for him, where fell right back into a routine. Coach Ryan & the other coaches have been great instructors who ensure each child is supported. I am grateful to have found a place for my son to thrive & look forward to his continued growth there!
I cannot say enough good things about 760 Jiu Jitsu. My kids have been training here for a while now, and the transformation has been incredible. The professor is phenomenal, not only is he very knowledgeable about the technical side of the art, but his patience is unmatched. He has a unique gift for making Jiu Jitsu enjoyable and engaging for children while still instilling the core disciplines of a traditional martial art. My kids look forward to every class, and as a parent, I love seeing them develop confidence and respect in such a positive environment. Highly recommend!
