Awesome place to learn jiu jitsu with a wide range of people to train with. The head coach Mauricio is a world class fighter and 4th degree black belt under the legendary Master Ryan Gracie. I've been training with Mauricio for more than 11 years and this is one of the best places to learn Jiu Jitsu in the country. Whether you're a new white belt or a seasoned competitor, this is the place to be.
Mauricio is a fantastic coach and mentor. He is present focused and guides with purpose. He teaches kids, youth and adults - and he is patient, clear and his classes are the perfect place develop self-defense skills, BJJ know-how and confidence. I highly recommend stopping by - trying a course out - investing in yourself and committing to the program. For those who want a challenge - the academy is filled with veterans - they will show you the ropes but won't go easy when it's time to spar. Grateful I joined the gym and encourage locals to come and learn from Mauricio and the crew. Do it!
Mauricio has a very welcoming facility and he and his students are very patient with new students. His course structure is very well organized, with a technique introduced each week. He maintains high standards for promotion so students earn their belts. Mauricio is very careful to make sure you learn techniques correctly and is very vigilent that his new students are rolling safely. He is doing an excellent job getting the facility organized since it recently opened and he is very assiduous in keeping bthe mats and equipment clean. I'm very excited at the opportunity to learn this new sport and it has helped my range if movement and cardio a lot since I started.
High level training and empowerment place. Professor Maurício, truly makes the difference in so many life’s using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a powerful tool. The kids program is tailored and amazing.
