I absolutely recommend this place for any child, especially those with special needs. It's truly the best place you could take them. My little brother has autism, and seeing how Master Kris builds courage and strength in his class has been incredible. The way Master Kris, along with the entire class, has impacted my little brother is nothing short of amazing. For a child with autism, finding a place where they feel like they truly belong is so rare. My brother has always felt different, often left out, but this is the first place he’s ever felt accepted. He now wants to work harder to achieve his goals, and that’s something I never thought I’d see. When he earned his first belt, it brought tears to my eyes. To see him so overwhelmed with joy, crying with all his heart, because he was so proud of what he’d accomplished it’s something I’ll never forget. The kids have so much fun going to see Master Chris and Irene. They’ve tried karate and ballet in the past, but easily lost interest. During the free trial days, the kids immediately took a liking and were the first to ask about signing up. Taekwondo is serious but fun training. I think that’s the right combination they need to stay engaged. Great for little kids who need additional discipline, encouragement, and empowerment. (And away from electronic devices) Attitude at home has improved especially since they know their belts get suspended if they’re not on check. They’re even good about rolling over makeup days, as long as they have notice. We’re certainly getting our money’s worth with our annual discounts. Parents should give the free trial a try.
My son and daughter have benefited tremendously from this establishment. Master Kris, Instructor Brody, Miss Aimee, Instructor Adam, and Instructor Kaly do such a good job of helping the kids they teach. Master Kris is thoughtful, patient and caring. Sky Martial Arts gives students essential values (hard work, respect, thoughtfulness, responsibility, discipline,) and has given both my kids confidence that go beyond the dojo.
Shy Martial Arts is a great taekwondo program. It has been a great confidence builder for my son. Master Kris is great at teaching the kids to be confident in themselves. He is great at teaching there is no such thing as "I can't" which is something I use in my home. He is fun and able to connect with kids of all age groups. These kids are learning respect, self-empowerment, teamwork, this is a great course for any child. Thank you Sky Martial Arts for all that you do you guys have a great team.
It was the best decision ever joining taekwondo! I am doing the teen/adults class and testing for senior red belt alongside my 8 year old brother, Maverick. I have a 7 year old brother, Greyson, in taekwondo, too, and he's a white and yellow stripe belt in little warriors. We love Master Kris and doing classes. Everyone is very nice and we love the atmosphere. Maverick and I are eager for our black belts next year👊🥋
I absolutely love this program for my daughter and niece. It teaches them responsibilities, respect, confidence , discipline . Master Chris and Ms. Amy is absolutely amazing with the kids. They believe in all the kids . Encourage them to be at they best. I’m a proud parent to see how my daughter is elevating.
