I had an incredible experience at Live Oak Academy’s Jiu Jitsu program. From day one, it felt less like a gym and more like a family. I attended their free All Women’s BJJ & Self-Defense Seminar, and I was blown away by the professionalism, cleanliness, and supportive environment. The instructors came all the way from Southern California and brought great energy, knowledge, and encouragement. The academy itself is spotless, the mats are spring-loaded for comfort and safety, and the atmosphere is welcoming and empowering — especially for women and beginners. Thank you to the Live Oak team for offering this important training to the community. If you’re in or near Fairfield, I highly recommend checking them out! 💪👊

An absolutely fantastic place to train! I visited multiple times while in town for a work trip, and I'm happy to have this gym as a home away from home. Coaches are very knowledgeable and the classes are a great mix of technique and live drills. They give great advice too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to learn high quality jiu jitsu in a friendly enviornment!
I am not confident in my stand up game and take downs have always been difficult for me. Today I went to Live Oak BJJ in Fairfield take down class and I loved it!! Coach Pack was very patient, kind and very detailed orientated. He broke down every move making it very approachable and less intimidating. Even our warm up help to get out bodies use to doing take downs. Love this class will be coming back thank you coach pack.
