I looked into all Jiu Jitsu gyms in the 707. My prerequisites were: 1. That the gym be family friendly. 2. Host a quality Jiu Jitsu for myself and my two daughters 3. Be Law Enforcement and Military friendly 4. Cleanliness (Some gyms have bugs) 5. Had to be a place where women and men could train 6. Provide a friendly atmosphere Team Alpha Vacaville meet all my requirements and more. They offer free No GI two classes a week for LEO and military. And, provide a LEO and Military discount if you are willing to attend traditional BJJ courses. Andre Carson and Kastania are a married couple that both instruct. Kastania hosts a women’s only class on Saturdays, which my 13 year old daughter enjoys. They offer a free trial week, so why not come by and give it a try. Team Alpha BJJ Vacaville was exactly what my family was looking for Jan 2022. They have classes for EVERYONE in the family. Kids class, adult afternoon and evening classes, complimentary Law Enforcement/first responder classes, complimentary women’s classes and open mat! The atmosphere is welcoming and feels like family. The coaches are top notch, love the art and share it fully with their community. We love Team Alpha BJJ Vacaville!
Team Alpha Vacaville is an exemplary jiu jitsu gym. The instructors, the people and the atmosphere are very welcoming. The instruction is exceptional. If you are thinking of joining, don't hesitate...just come in and give it a try. Whatever your goals are: hobbyist, fitness, self-dense, competition...you will find a home there. This gym is great for kids and adults alike and is a part of a great affiliation of gyms. There are classes offered six days a week including Kids, Adults, Gi, Nogi, First Responders Class, Women's Class and Open Mat. You will not find another gym in the area with the same level of quality and character as Team Alpha BJJ Vacaville.
An amazing place to be! Owned and ran by some amazing people. Team Alpha BJJ Vacaville is the place to be to train Jiu Jitsu for kids and adults! Many talented people training here and teaching, to share the knowledge and love for the sport. It’s a safe and fun environment to train in. It is like no gym I have been to before! My love for the sport has only grown while training here! It’s like one big family, everyone is friendly and welcoming!
I can’t say enough good things about Team Alpha. I got my 11 year old son into training here & he absolutely loves jiu jitsu now. He is a smaller kid & the instructors have given him the self confidence at school to defend himself. The other parents are very friendly, and their kids are nice. The instructors push the kids to try hard and make them earn their promotions, not just simply attending. Also with the white mats you can tell the gym is clean.
Excellent school for all ages. My daughter has been attending class there for a year already and absolutely loves it. Their instructors and programs are unrivaled. Her progress has been consistent and focused on her needs to grow. One of the few programs that truly promotes based solely on merit. We've done multiple competitions through the gym and have received lots of support. Everyone there parents, instructors and students have been very welcoming and treated us as family members. We started initially because of behavioral problems at school that have since been resolved and has done wonders for her self confidence.
