East Bay Academy is a great place to train! Rocky and the other black belts create a fun, no-pressure environment where students are supported in building their own jiu-jitsu journey. As others have said, this gym has become a second family—teammates genuinely look out for one another on and off the mats. Whether you’re brand-new or returning to BJJ, I can’t recommend this academy enough for both adults and kids.
My kids have been going here for a little over 2 years. The coaches are FANTASTIC and have helped build confidence in them and the kids have build friendships with peers that will last a long time. Best jiu-jitsu class around
I have trained at EBA for a few years now and cannot stress how much of a second home it has become. All of the coaches are extremely skilled/helpful and the people who train there are like family. Whether you'd like to compete at a high level or just get some exercise and self defense knowledge, they've got it covered.
My husband and I found EBA when we first moved to the Bay Area, almost immediately the vibes were right. They welcome us with open arms and the coaches invested their time to really teach us. I also appreciated the community and the people at the gym. Extremely cool/chill coaches and members. I moved back to LA and when I visit NorCal I plan on stopping by there each time.
Great place to train... the Coaches and students are all really respectful and welcoming. Definitely like a 2nd home and family
My son and I Started our Journey here. Still here. Will BE here. The family we have here is an unmatched bond. Coaches all the way to students, everyone is genuine. #EBA
