The Best Jiu Jitsu Gym in the area!!! Here are a few reasons why my family and I feel this way after just after a few month: 1 The Owner - Cesar is there regularly. Other gyms you may find will just use a big name and you only see them at upper belt ceremonies. Cesar and his entire family very approachable and gracious to all no matter if it's your first time or your tenth year to there! 2 The Instructors - They have the most proper balance of being firm and kind at the same time. This was such a blessing for our son who was being bullied. Cam (the youth instructor) has been amazing since the first moment he put his arm around him and let him know everything is going to be okay now. He keeps the kids in line, but they also have fun at the same time. He's firm, but so kind at the same time. There is a reason why the youth do just as well as the adults in competition under the Gracie banner. 3 The Family - We intentionally gave it some ti
I've trained there for about 3 years now. I used to live in concord, and this was the closest gym for jiu-jitsu. On top of that, it's Cesar Gracie, so you know it's legit. Of course, when I first started, I was a bit nervous about how the guys would treat me. But that quickly went away as everyone was very nice and supportive - always happy to show you a move or give advice to get better. I've moved to Fairfield, so now the gym is a bit out of the way, but it's my home now and the only place I want to train. I really appreciate the coaches and my training partners. Guga runs the adult classes and he is top-notch. He's very calm and knowledgeable and just a very good guy to learn from. He still competes and is a champion in an organization called fight 2 win. I got to see him win the belt, which was fun. Cam runs the kids classes. I don't think there is anyone better to coach kids than him. He is hilarious and knows how to talk to kids t
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Joining this academy has been one of the best decisions I’ve made! From day one, I felt welcomed into a positive, respectful, and hardworking environment. Cameron and Guga are truly outstanding instructors—knowledgeable, patient, and deeply passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They take the time to help each student grow, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned practitioner. What really sets this place apart is the culture. It’s not just about technique (which they teach exceptionally well), but about building confidence, discipline, and community. Every class is well-structured, and you always leave feeling like you've learned something valuable. Cameron and Guga foster an atmosphere where everyone supports one another, and that’s rare to find. I’ve grown so much since joining—physically and mentally—and I look forward to every training session. If you're considering starting BJJ or looking for a new academy, this is th
The best place to learn jiu jitsu, and gain strength and confidence and friends. Cesar Gracie is there all the time and he pays attention to who is coming regularly and getting better. It is exciting to train with so many people who are so good and so supportive. The head instructor, Sean, is very good and nice. His girlfriend Gretchen is like a team captain for all the women, she is always there and always very supportive. This is a great place for new students and transplants. I have been going there for 10 years. When you come to train find me and tell me you read my review haha.
Best place to learn and practice Brazilian JuiJitsu in the Area. The coaches are top of class and make sure that you learn while having a good time, not to mention they train full respect. When competition time comes, most of the students place at the top of their respective class and it's easy to see why. Count me in to support this place as long as possible, truly a unique find for which I am highly thankful.
I have been training at Gracie Fighter for about two years and would recommend it to everyone! It's great for self defense, mind development, strength, and exercise. Professor Guga teaches at a very understandable pace and teaches techniques that can be applied in real life. He's an extremely good instructor and practitioner of BJJ. Doing BJJ is like a drug because of how addicting it is. I can't emphasize enough the level of fulfillment one gets after a good day of training.
