Flow MMA Academy is a family-friendly gym focused on building people up and creating a strong, supportive community. Our coaches are experienced professional fighters that love coaching and are here to help you grow—whether you’re learning self-defense, training for competition, or just looking to live a healthier, more confident life. We are so grateful for finding this place! Our 6-year-old son never wanted to join any sports or clubs before, and we honestly tried many things. But the very first time he tried a class at Flow, he had so much fun,and it became the only activity he truly wanted to join.<br>Coach Lindsey is absolutely wonderful with kids. She knows exactly how to turn learning martial arts into fun games while still teaching discipline and skills. She makes the class engaging, exciting, and welcoming. Coach Derek is also fantastic and very supportive.<br>Everyone on the team is so kind and encouraging, and the environment feels positive and safe. Our son looks forward to every class, and that means everything to us.
I’ve known Lindsey and Deric for the past few years and to say they care is an understatement. I started out as a kid doing Muay Thai and Tai Kwon Do as self defense because my parents wanted me to. Though as coaches they pushed for me to learn BJJ and wrestling, as it turned into a personal passion. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself for competitions and upcoming fights. Not only do they provide an amazing gym as an outlet but they treat you as family because that’s what they see you as. They are the most selfless and giving people ever and out in hours of training programs and always take extra time to talk to you and help you with whatever your struggling with MMA related or not. If you need someone in your corner these are the best people to do it.
Flow MMA is a special gym with an incredible coaching staff and unparalleled culture. I have been training with Deric and Lindsay for over 4 years and they have not only made me a better athlete but a better man. Coach Deric cares deeply about every member of his community and their growth on and off the mats. Coach Lindsay is a wealth of knowledge who trains my 6 year old daughter with a tact that accentuates her passion and experience. I could not recommend this space enough.
I’ve been training under Deric and Lindsey since Covid, and this gym is like a second home. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family. The environment is supportive yet challenging, a place where growth- both in skill and confidence - is encouraged every single day. What stands out most is the dedication of the instructors they pour their heart and knowledge into every student, no matter their age or experience level. This isn’t just a place to train—it’s a place to belong, to push yourself, to FLOW, to have fun and to become better in every way!
We are a family of 5 and we all train here! They are building a community where everyone is met at their level, push to their limits and encouraged to continue to drive and come back for more! Lindsey is amazing with kids, she always finds creative ways to not only provide the knowledge but also have them completely enjoy their time. Some of the best coaches in the Valley!! Great culture and atmosphere. I had a blast training here when I was in AZ & will be making this my #1 place to train whenever i’m in town.
