Good school for kids and Adults, instructors know what they are teaching. The school is kept clean and the students are more like a family. Mario has a uncanning ability to relate to a student and find the best way to explain a move or theory behind a technique. If You want to get in shape it’s hard work but this will do it I cut from 240 to 185 and have maintained that. If you want to learn a good reliable self defense Jiu jitsu is for you. If you wana learn to kick and punch it’s not for you and since Mario isn’t just trying to get you in the door we can recommend several other martial arts schools in the area. Because he wants you to get what your looking for and the most out of your training. My qualifications to base my rating and review Iv been in martial arts for 30 years now, I’m a 5th Black from Grand Prairie Karate Academy, I was in the Marine Corps where I was introduced to ground fighting. When I got out I wanted to continue
I recently moved to Texas from California and tried a few gyms before stopping in at leverage. We were looking for a school that would be a good fit for both me and my daughter. We found that with Mario in many ways. My daughter is naturally aggressive, Mario caught on to this quickly and made sure she was both challenged and encouraged and Is being thought how and when to be aggressive. One of the things Mario does that we noticed right away is how he takes the time to learn how to motivate each kid on the mat individually and in a group setting. The adult class is AN ADULT class. Mario can go from being a motivator to a child/preteen and teen to the instructor that can translate the mechanics of jiu jitsu in a way that makes some of the most challenging techniques understandable and obtainable. He takes time in ever class to roll individually with all the students in a way that builds them up and gives them confidence to try and apply
Mario Espindola is a great instructor. He is very knowledgeable in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is very professional with all his students and he makes everyone feel welcome. Leverage Jiu Jitsu makes you feel like family from the moment you come in the door. Having been training since last May and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else and getting the same kind of training. Mario takes his time with each technique he teaches to make sure each student understands. He does a wonderful job with the children’s class. Even with a free trial if you were to decide that this wasn’t the school for you, he would help you on finding one that was for you. He has a true love for Jiu Jitsu not your money. Unlike other school that make you sign a contract, this school doesn’t. So, you are free to leave at any time. Instead of continuing to have to pay per a contract that you signed. Mario takes his time and gets to know all his students so he can adjust and

We found Leverage about 1 year ago. My husband and I were on the hunt to find a gym that was closer to home and offered adult and kids classes and we found so much more than that at this gym. Mario really knows his stuff when it comes to jui jujitsu he actively competes himself. He breaks down complex moves in a way that the whole class can follow and then he puts everyone in motion with live sparing sessions to give them time to master. Beyond that he challenges each student to keep pushing to the next level. My background is more in Judo so it was nice to pick up some new techniques and learn more about groundwork. Its challenging, exciting and very physically rewarding. We love the gym and the people there, it's more than a gym it's a family!
Ive been training at Leverage jujitsu for about two years and i can honestly say that it has changed my life. Ive made friends here that can call family and at the same time everyone pushes eachother to improve their jujitsu. Once a week the class sometimes goes out to eat to talk about jujitsu or anything else and enjoy eachother's company. Mario the instructor cares about all of his students equally and if i could recomend any place for you to come learn jujisu, it is at Leveage.
