I didn’t even know what jiu jitsu was when I walked into the doors of Zombie over a year ago! This place completely changed my life for the better and provided me with a jiu jitsu family. Supportive, family friendly learning environment to better yourself in all aspects of your life. If you’re wanting to get into shape, gain friends, learn jiu jitsu on a hobby or competitive level, whatever your goals, you can accomplish them here with this team. If you’re a female that’s nervous about joining, take the leap! I did and I feel significantly more confident about potential self defense situations. Sign your kids up too. You won’t regret it 🤙🏼
I was in Abilene on a business trip from Weatherford and decided to drop in for training. The instructors Joseph Tonche and his team were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I mentioned that I have a competition coming up and wanted to keep my intensity high. They understood that immediately and matched my pace without holding back. They even provided me with a Gi since I had forgotten mine, which says a lot about their hospitality and commitment to helping visitors feel included. The training was technical, challenging, and exactly what I needed. No ego, no hand-holding just solid jiu-jitsu and great people. If you’re in the Abilene area, I highly recommend training here. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in town.
My boys have been consistently going for almost over a year, and the discipline, the drive, the focus that my guys have is astonishing! I love it more because it feels like a family with an amazing sense of community! The coaches stretch my kids as well as my husband to be better leaders in this world to themselves and to people they are amongst as well as phenomenal goal setters! Who would’ve thought!! I’m super grateful for all they have accomplished and what’s in store for each and everyone of them in the future, with just instilling this simple discipline! We researched every studio in Abilene and this is by far the closest if not exact thing to Brazilian Juijuitsu! And the instructors and students take home gold in actual tournaments!
If you are looking for a gym to call home, a place to meet friends, a place to push yourself, or a place to learn and grow, look no further. Zombie BJJ will be your new home away from home. After training at many facilities, I can say this place is like no other. The coaches are outstanding, the community is amazing, the knowledge they have to share is endless, and joining this place will make you realize it’s one of the best decisions you ever made. You will leave here better at jiu jitsu, better as a person, and just better for it. This place is truly that amazing.
I decided to challenge myself so my daughter and I joined zombie BJJ and never looked back. Between all the knowledgeable coaches to family friendly atmosphere, I couldn't think of a better place to train! Coaches pushed me to my highest potential and enough confidence to compete in my first ever tournament where I won gold! Highly recommend this for all ages men, women and kids of all ages! Join the zombies! 🤙🏾
Been training here for a few months with my daughter and we love it! The coaches are incredibly skilled, professional, and always take the time to make sure everyone is learning. Now all of my kids are training here and looking forward to every session! I've made friends out of people I probably would have never met and the academy is a small home away from home. Hands down best place to train bjj in and around Abilene.
