Truly the Best place to come and learn Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Very friendly and caring staff including an awesome, kind, caring instructer who know his stuff and how to teach it. Great for children and adults of all ages. There is even classes (non- jiu jitsu)for striking -throwing punches....and a kettle bell class to get in- or stay- in better shape if you choose too. Come try it out! Get better at self defense!!! We would love to train with you and hope see you there!!!-
My family and I joined Ooltewah Jiu Jitsu in late summer of 2023. Since then, we have learned valuable self defense skills while also enjoying the benefit of vastly improved strength and dexterity. The instructors are knowledgable, objective folks and all of our peers - regardless of rank - are kind and helpful people. As a woman and a complete newcomer to the BJJ world, the people at Ooltewah Jiu-jitsu academy have provided me with an extremely safe and welcoming environment. My 13 year old daughter and I train here and I cant say enough good things about this place. The instructors and students are all outstanding people. You will feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. My daughter has a new confidence in herself after training Jiu Jitsu.She trains with the adults and is totally comfortable doing so. If you want to learn a most epicly awesome skill while getting in shape at the same time, this is definitely the place for you! The school is a Pedro Sauer affiliate teaching authentic Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are top notch and the students are incredibly awesome and helpful. We also train striking and wrestling so there is something for everyone! Everyone is there to learn and get better. Training there has literally changed my life and I am incredibly grateful for this school and the people in it.
