Gravity Lab Jiu Jitsu reviews

Rated 4.8/5 across 17 Google reviews.

I cannot recommend Gravity Lab Jiu Jitsu highly enough, especially for families looking for a great training environment for their children. For the past three years my son has been training directly under Christian Major, and the development we’ve seen in him both on and off the mats is a testament to Christian's skill as a coach and mentor. When Christian decided to open his own academy following him was an easy decision, and the transition has been seamless. Christian is a great grappler and a great coach. He has an ability to connect with kids, and teach complex Jiu Jitsu techniques with patience. He genuinely cares about the long-term development of every student. The new Gravity Lab facility itself is clean, professional, and provides the perfect setting for learning. If you're looking for a Jiujitsu academy where the coaching is top tier, the community is positive, and the lead instructor has a proven successful history with
Coach Christian is truly a exceptional teacher. He’s fantastic with the kids—patient, encouraging, and always able to connect with them in a way that makes learning Jiu Jitsu both fun and meaningful. It’s clear from the moment you walk in that he’s deeply passionate about the art of Jiu Jitsu, and he brings that passion into every class. He genuinely cares about his students. He leads by example, showing humility, discipline and dedication in everything he does. He works hard to be a positive role model and it shows not just in his teaching but in the welcoming culture he’s created. When you come here to train, you’re not just another student—you’re family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to grow, learn, and feel supported every step of the way.
Great gym! Coach Major creates a good environment for everyone. Kids and adults can go from being a beginner to confidently understanding fundamentals of jiu jitsu. The amount of commitment to his students goes above and beyond. There is fun light classes for younger kids, classes for parents and competition classes for competing athletes. He's brought our kids from not knowing if jiu jitsu was there thing to winning medals consistently.
Can’t say enough great things about Gravity Lab bjj. The coaches are phenomenal; they are so passionate about jujutsu, and you can tell that they put 100% into each class every single time. That doesn’t just go for the adult classes either, my kids do classes too and I love watching how much they’ve progressed. Coach Christian and Coach Tom are amazing; everyone who goes there is kind and respectful. It is a positive, challenging, and inspiring culture; exactly what my family and I were looking for!
We have nothing but good things to say about this gym. All the coaches are amazing and you can tell they love what they do. The amount of passion they teach their students is very admirable. Our 8 year old son has been doing this sport for some time now and the relationship that he's built with the coaches is amazing. The community that this gym has built is so close they feel like a second family. If you are looking for a gym to learn jiu jitsu and to become a great grappler this is definitely the gym. You will definitely not regret it and would highly recommend this place. It's also a great place for the whole family to try.
Nothing but positive things to say about Coach Christian and Gravity Lab. I'm a female BJJ competitor at another local gym and despite this, Gravity Lab has been nothing but welcoming and accommodating to assist me in finding good training partners. The level of detail, respect, and care Christian has for his athletes is rare to find and exactly the kind of mentor competitors need. Lastly, the comradery and culture at the gym is the cherry on top. As a female, sharing the mats with bigger, stronger men can be intimidating. At Gravity Lab, there is nothing but respect, self control during rolls, and communication to ensure comfortability. Check this place out and be come a part of the community!
