⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for a martial arts school that feels like family (minus the awkward Thanksgiving drama), East West MMA is the place. We’ve been training here for years, and honestly, we might never leave — partly because the workouts are amazing, and partly because Estabon would probably chase us down and drag us back on the mat. Estabon is an incredible instructor, and his wife Ashley brings the perfect mix of skill and toughness (you definitely don’t want to underestimate her). Their sons Beau and Carson are already little ninjas, teaching kids’ classes with way more patience than I could ever muster. The kids love it, the adults love it, and somehow nobody cries… at least not until the leg workouts. Most people who join stick around long-term — probably because it’s addictive in the best way. You’ll find tons of black belts training here, so whether you’re starting out or leveling up, there’s always someone to push you. Botto
If you’re looking for a family-friendly place for your kids to learn techniques of martial arts and self defense or you want to join a group of adults looking for a great workout or if you aspire to be a great martial artist… this is the place. Sensei Uribe and his family are the nicest people I’ve ever met. They teach not only techniques, but stress work ethic, respect, and discipline within all age groups. Personally,my son has been with them from white belt as a child through to recently receiving his black belt this year after going to college. He was unable to attend classes, to help him prepare for his testing in person, but was able to meet with Sensei via his phone or laptop during and after hours. Throughout his years attending, all the instructors have always had the students’ best interests in mind and pledge to provide the best training in a safe and controlled environment.
Our 8 year old son started coming here in January of 2018, he had been a victim of bullying and was very down on his confidence and self esteem. After just his first few classes you could see a major change in him - The way he would walk and carry himself. We had never seen him so excited and enthusiastic about anything. The Staff are constantly encouraging and they make all of the students feel like they can accomplish anything! Watching his face show just how proud he was in his accomplishments after earning his new belt his sister wanted to try it! Our daughter is 11 and has always been more of a bookworm. She loves art and reading and she has never really been all that into anything that was physical. She was very unsure if she wanted to join because she felt she would not be able to do the exercises and that she would feel embarrassed in front of others. My son has been training at East West MMA for 3 years and absolutely loves it! The staff is always so friendly, patient, and accommodating, which makes it such a welcoming place for kids and families. They offer a wide variety of classes to choose from, so there’s always something to fit our schedule, and my son looks forward to every single class! We’ve seen so much growth in his confidence, discipline, and skills over the years. Highly recommend East West MMA to anyone looking for a positive and encouraging martial arts community!
East West MMA is a great martial arts school that combines several types of martial arts to give students a well rounded training. They include in each class a lesson about honesty, integrity, or courtesy (just to name a few qualities). Many students, myself included, found their confidence through the physical training and mental qualities taught here. The amazing instructors teach students about setting goals and commit their time and energy to help those students reach their goals! I would recommend this dojo to anyone who's looking for a workout, self defense class, or discipline/principles for themselves or their kids.
This martial arts studio is amazing. Both of my kids and I have trained here for more than 5 years, and I can tell you that it's unique - the Uribes truly care about the students, their experience, and their growth. Leadership/instructor meetings always focus on "making it feel like Disneyland" for the students, and that focus really comes through in the way the students (both child and adult) are treated and trained. The curriculum is varied, fun, and engaging and applied at a level that's individual for each student and their rank and age. If you or your kids want to sweat, grow, and/or make new friends in a fun environment, EWMMA is the right place.
