I can’t say enough great things about this gym and the incredible team behind it. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and professional in everything they do. What really sets them apart is their genuine commitment to each student, they take the time, even outside of scheduled sessions, to ensure everyone understands the material and is set up for success. They offer a wide variety of classes, including self-defense training that truly promotes safety for you, your family, and the community. The training is practical, realistic, and built around real-life scenarios that can genuinely save lives. Personally, I’m very grateful for the investment they pour into their students. The environment is clean, safe, and welcoming, and the addition of guest instructors brings even more value and perspective to the experience. Sahuarita Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not just a business, it IS a family. Professor Ray Rogers and Coach Mike Torres do such an amazing job with the kiddos. Their passion and love for BJJ is undeniable. There is no other academy that we would EVER think of taking our sons to train at. Sahuarita Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is far above the competition on so many levels.

Top notch instruction in self defense!! This class was the best experience in building self confidence and awareness in regards to increasing my chances to save myself in the event of an attack. Mike is an understanding compassionate instructor with a wealth of knowledge, which, he delivers with bluntness, honesty, and humor. Thank you so much for making this available to us. SBJJ is a terrific family operated and owned place for fitness and so much more. A place to raise our kids with top notch instructors.
Sahuarita Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fantastic experience. My son and I have been a part of the SBJJ family for over a year. Everyone is so supportive and talented. Great lessons in self-discipline, respect, and dedication from Professor Ray Rogers and Coach Mike Torres. Phenomenal BJJ from the kids to the adults who put in the work on the mats.
My daughter recently stepped out of her comfort zone and tried kickboxing, and I can’t say enough good things about this gym. From day one, the staff has been incredibly patient, encouraging, and welcoming. They offer the first 5 classes free and I feel if it wasn't for that window of "testing the waters before committing" she would not be where she is now. They made what could have been a nerve-wracking transition feel exciting and positive for her. She now looks forward to every class and genuinely enjoys the workouts—especially the conditioning, which has been such a confidence boost. Watching her walk in excited each week says everything. We’re so grateful to have found such a supportive environment! Highly recommend!
