Long story short: Sifu Joseph is humble, kind, courteous, and patient. He's willing to work with his students at their individual pace, and has the experience, expertise, knowledge, and credentials to provide incredible instructions in martial arts, and in life. He is skilled in teaching all age ranges, as well as various levels of experienced students in martial arts. Here's the long story: I had spent a number of years training in Kajukenbo, Silat, Kali, and Muay Thai over a decade ago when I was living outside Salt Lake City. I had been on a bit of a hiatus from martial arts because it had lost priority in my life, and I was also looking to find the right instructor and a convenient location in Chandler where I could train. I met Sifu Joseph through an event with the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, and although I'd had experience in Kajukenbo, I was hesitant to start training again. Me and the wife have been battling the fact that in today's society our kids will need to be able to defend themselves against certain dangers. These dangers range from physical to mental. While searching for a martial arts program that I felt was going to fill those needs. I came across Sifu Joseph Bautista on Facebook. I had never heard of Kajukenbo as a martial arts, but quickly researched it and couldn't be more excited for what this art form teaches. After meeting Joseph I knew right away that not only will he teach my daughter the art form but will help develop her mindset. I have seen great progress in my daughter and I am excited to see what my daughter can accomplish. I highly recommend coming by and trying or observing classes for your kids and/or yourself. His students are all Ohana (family).

Sifu Joseph & Kajukenbo were that missing link for this special needs family!! We came to Bautista Kajukenbo hopeful, but skeptical as we’ve tried other programs for our neurodiverse son only to be disappointed. If you’re a special needs parent, you know exactly what I’m talking about! From day one, Joseph listened, was open minded, and up for the challenge. (My son was having behavioral issues and we needed something different for him and we’re SO grateful we finally found that!) Not only as a mom but as a Behavioral Analyst, let me say that Joseph is by far one of the best instructors/teachers I have ever met! He is firm but, compassionate, caring, and inclusive! Our son is learning SO many different concepts at the same time and is thriving! He recently promoted to his yellow-white belt and we are so proud of him! I started with Bautista Kajukenbo MMA with my daughter and my son got interested he joined and he pulled 2 of his best friends, they all are having fun , Joseph is an excellent teacher, he knows his craft well and knows how to gets kids engaged and develop passion about the sport, I recommend with any doubt this school for your kids, specifically if you are looking for extracurricular outside studies not only for well rounded ness for kids development but also to develop self confidence and discipline go for Bautista Kajukenbo MMA.
