Double Under Pass

Also known as: Stack Pass · Double Underhook Pass · Can Opener Stack (adjacent)

Scoop both arms under the thighs, clasp your hands on their tailbone or grip the collar, and fold them onto their own neck — passing around the stacked hips.

Guard Pass · Gi & No-gi · Difficulty 2/5 · Usually learned at White belt

Starts from Open Guard as the passer → lands in Side Control.

The details that make it work

  1. Both arms dive under the thighs together; lock hands at the tailbone (or one grips the far collar in gi).
  2. Drive their knees over their face — a stacked opponent has no guard, only a view of their own knees.
  3. Walk around to one side while their hips are elevated; free your head to that side as you clear.
